Chapter one
NarratorEvery evening, Mara left the porch light on.
Tonight, someone had left a letter beneath it.
Original examplePaste your text. Select a voice. Click Generate. There is no limit on generation, because Vois Studio operates on your computer, the same as your other apps. You can clone a voice or make a new voice with Voice Design. Vois Studio is for each person who writes, not only for professional authors.

Vois Studio operates on your computer. Thus, generation has no limit on Subscriber and Pro. The procedure is easy: you paste the text, select a voice and generate the audio.
A chapter has approximately 1,000 words. Usually, you generate it four or five times before it is correct. With tools that count tokens, you pay each time. With Vois Studio, you do not pay each time.
You can change a word, correct a name or try a different voice. Generate again as many times as necessary. Vois Studio does not count the generations, and you do not pay for them.
It is not necessary to be an author or to know about audio production. You paste the text, select a voice and generate the audio. Vois Studio controls the pronunciation, the speed of the voice and the export.
Generation with no limit, voice clones, a script editor, a timeline and mastering in one app, for one price.

Chapter one
NarratorEvery evening, Mara left the porch light on.
Tonight, someone had left a letter beneath it.
Original examplePut the narration, pauses and music on different tracks. Save the project. Continue from the same position on the next day.

Set the volume and export your chapters. Then upload them to Google Play Books, Kobo, Spotify or a different store that accepts audio files. Listeners can then hear your book.

Tell Claude Code or Codex to write the chapters. Then give the agent the free Vois skills. The agent shows each step and you give your approval. Then Vois Studio does the step on your computer: cast, generate and export. You go from the outline to the audio with no token limits.

“Draft chapter three from the outline, propose the narration command using the chapter-two voice, and wait for my approval before exporting.”
Compare narrator voices for your book. Select a language. Then listen.
Creators tell you how easy Vois Studio is, and how much audio they can make for one price.
“It runs locally on your computer and does not operate on a token or time basis, just a very reasonable monthly or annual fixed cost. So however many interactions, generations or how much text you throw at it the cost is the same. [...] I have been using this software for a few weeks now, and can highly recommend it.”
“The platform makes it extremely easy to convert text into high-quality voice, and the interface is intuitive and simple to use. [...] Having all my content local and ease of use, unlimited use with only one subscription.”
Generate as much audio as necessary. Only you can see your projects. If you cancel, you keep all that you made.

Yes, on Subscriber and Pro. Vois Studio generates the audio on your computer. Thus, you do not pay for tokens or for each word. Paid plans also include exports with no limit. The Free plan lets you do 10 generations each day.
Your text stays on your computer. Vois Studio generates the voices and processes the audio on your computer. Vois Studio does not send your text and recordings to a server.

Some platforms accept AI narration if you tell them that AI made the narration. Google Play Books, Kobo and Spotify are examples. Export your audio. Then upload it through the service that you selected. Before you publish, read the content rules that apply at this time. An export preset does not make sure that the service accepts your audiobook.
The generation time changes with your computer, the voice engine and the length of your script. Start with one page on the Free plan. Then listen to the result and examine the speed. Before you publish, keep time to examine and edit the audio.
Yes. Add speaker tags to your script. Then assign a voice to each part. Keep the narration and the dialogue in one script. Then put the generated clips on your timeline.
Use the pronunciation dictionary or adjust the script. Then generate a new take. Generation has no limit on paid plans. Thus, changes do not cost more.
Yes, with the free Vois skills. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other local agents read the skill. They recommend commands for the installed Vois CLI. After your approval, the agent starts these commands on your computer. The agent can put projects in sequence, generate audio and export files. Subscriber and Pro include the CLI. On Free, you can use the CLI with export credits. The vois speak command speaks text on all plans. Agents in a chat window or in the cloud can help you make a plan, but they cannot control Vois Studio.
Vois Studio has a Free plan with no time limit and two paid plans. Subscriber gives the core local studio, with generation and export that have no limit. Pro adds Omni, Craft, 30 languages and Voice Design. The pricing page shows the prices that apply at this time.
Most cloud voice services send your text to their servers and charge for each word or credit. Vois Studio operates on your computer. It puts the script editor, the multi-track timeline, mastering and the export presets in one app. Subscriber and Pro give generation with no limit. Free gives 10 generations each day. Vois Studio does not send your scripts to a server to make the audio.
You can cancel at all times. Your files and projects stay on your computer. When your paid access stops, your license moves to the Free plan. You can continue to use the export credits that you bought with all voices. Free is for research and non-commercial use. For commercial work, you must have Subscriber or Pro.
Vois Studio must have internet access for setup, for the first download of each voice engine, for activation and for regular license checks. Vois Studio generates, changes, masters and exports the audio on your computer. It does not upload your scripts or your audio to a server to process them. After a correct license check, the paid plans continue to operate offline for a maximum of 1 day while the license stays active. Free can generate offline, but its exports must have an internet connection.
Vois Studio operates on Windows 10/11 (x64) and on Apple Silicon Mac computers (M series) with macOS 12+. We recommend 16 GB of memory, specially for Omni, and a minimum of 20 GB of empty disk space. Each voice engine downloads the first time that you use it. An engine is from less than 1 GB (Sonic) to approximately 5 GB (Omni). A GPU is optional. On a GPU that Vois Studio can use, generation is 2-6x faster. Examine your hardware
Vois Studio includes a script editor for many speakers and a multi-track timeline with drag-and-drop clips and crossfades. It also has mastering (LUFS normalization, de-esser, EQ, limiter) and export presets for Spotify, YouTube and Apple Podcasts. Upload the files from these presets through your host or distributor. Obey the AI content rules of that service. For video platforms, a video file is necessary. You can also use projects to control your series, seasons and chapters.
All subscriptions include all 100+ studio-quality voices in 21 categories: narrators, hosts, characters, educators, companions and more. The languages that you can use change with the engine and the plan that you select. You can also add cloned voices.
Sonic speaks 31 languages and has 10 built-in voices. Multilingual speaks 23 languages. Fast makes English drafts quickly. Expressive gives English audio of production quality with strong emotion and intonation. Omni speaks 30 languages and follows directions in usual words. Voice Design uses Omni. Omni operates best with a compatible graphics card and 16 GB of memory. Craft follows the same directions in 10 languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Craft operates with all voices that have a recording: library voices, your cloned voices with a transcript and your designed voices. Craft must have approximately 9 GB of memory on a Mac and 11 GB on Windows. Cloned voices keep the accent of their recording. Pro includes all engines. Subscriber includes all engines other than Omni and Craft. Free includes Sonic. On Free, you can also try the other engines, but their exports use export credits that you bought.
Subscriber and Pro let you clone voices. Give Vois Studio a sample of 10 to 15 seconds (15 seconds gives the best result). Use your voice or a voice that you have permission to clone. Vois Studio makes the cloned voice and keeps it on your computer. A cloned voice keeps the language and the accent of its recording. Export credits let you export, but they do not let you clone a voice.
Vois Subscriber and Pro subscriptions include a commercial license for YouTube, podcasts, audiobooks, courses, games and work for customers. Licenses that you buy through a partner include commercial use only on the tiers that show it. Always obey the rules of each destination platform. Also obey the permission conditions of each cloned voice and each voice from a different person or company.
No. Free is for research and non-commercial projects. For all commercial use, you must have Subscriber or Pro.
Use Vois Studio to clone your voice or a voice that you have permission to use. Before you clone a voice, make sure that you have the consent of the voice owner. The license does not let you clone a voice without permission.

Send an email to the Vois team. We help all customers. We also have documentation, video tutorials and a community of creators. The app also has guides for frequent questions.
Export credits let you pay for each export on the Free plan. One credit is one export with each voice, engine, language, length and format. Credits have no time limit, and you also get the 10 exports at no cost each month. While you have credits, you can use the CLI. Credits do not give commercial use. You can buy 1, 3 or 10 credits on the pricing page.
