Make a voice from a description, with no recording
Write a description of the voice in your words, for example its age, pitch, tone and speed. Omni makes the voice, and an audio sample is not necessary. You generate some takes and keep the best take. Then you save it as a voice that you can use again.
No library voice is correct, and voice cloning uses a recording of a person
You want one special voice, for example a calm narrator of middle age with a deep, stable voice. The library voices are almost correct, but not fully correct. For voice cloning, a person must record a sample. Thus, you use a voice that is almost correct, not the voice that the project must have.
How to use Voice Design
Go from a description to a saved voice in three steps.
Describe the voice
Write a description of the speaker, for example "a middle-aged man with a deep, resonant voice. Speaks slowly with a calm, steady tone". You can also start from an example and edit it. To change a voice that you have, use Start from an existing voice. Then write the sound that you want.
Preview and compare
Type a text, and Vois Studio speaks it with the voice. Each take is different. Generate more takes to compare them. Adjust the description, speed and language until the voice is correct for your project.
Save and use in all projects
Save the designed voice to your local library. It shows with your built-in voices and cloned voices. You can assign it to speakers and use it again in all your projects.
