Version 2.3.3 · September 14, 2026

Japanese text handling and a more reliable editing workflow

Vois 2.3.3 improves Japanese kanji handling, Listen imports, project switching, timeline media and playback, generation failures, exports, downloads and long-running CLI jobs.

Desktop app improvements

Better Japanese kanji handling

Multilingual now prepares readings for Japanese text containing kanji before synthesis. Update both Vois and the Multilingual model package to use this change.

Listen imports return to the right place

URL imports no longer lose quickly completed responses. After a successful import, the editor returns correctly, and reopened Listen items retain whether their source was a web page, file or pasted text.

Project switching shows the current selection

Switching between projects or scripts no longer shows content from an earlier selection.

Music and sound effects keep their placement

Music and sound effects fit the narration when first added, then keep their placement and duration when you edit or regenerate narration.

More reliable waveforms and playback

Waveforms remain usable on long timelines. Playback no longer jumps to an earlier position or restarts after you stop it when controls are used in quick succession.

Generation batches stop after memory refusals

If an engine cannot start because available memory is insufficient, the batch stops rather than repeating the same failure for every remaining clip.

Exports use less memory and explain retries

Mixing source audio for export uses less memory. If a source file changes during export preparation, Vois now gives you a clear message to retry.

Interrupted exports reconcile more safely

Delayed export records sync more reliably, and interrupted export-credit requests can resume without deducting the same credits twice.

Long Multilingual CLI jobs get more time

The CLI now waits up to 30 minutes instead of 15 for generation responses. This gives longer jobs time to finish when the desktop app is still generating; it does not change generation speed.

Website, downloads and onboarding

Correct downloads for Apple Silicon Macs

The download page is less likely to mistake an Apple Silicon Mac for an Intel Mac when privacy-focused browser settings limit hardware detection.

Older activation links remain useful

Existing activation links continue to provide the licence key and current download instead of leading to a dead end.

Clearer AppSumo onboarding

First-use guidance is clearer after redemption, with Discord and email support easier to find.
